Ingredients

  • 3/4 Cup unsalted butter (or dairy-free butter/coconut oil)
  • 1 1/2 Cups granulated sugar

  • 2/3 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 Tsp baking powder

  • 1 Cup chocolate chips

Equipment Needed

  • Cast Iron Skillet – Lodge Cast Iron Skillet with Red Silicone Hot Handle Holder, 10.25-inch
  • Mixing Bowls – Stainless Steel Mixing Bowls Set (Set of 6)

Instructions

Step 1 – Preparation: Preheat your oven and cast iron skillet to 350°F.

Step 2 – Melt Butter/Oil: Using a double boiler method, melt your choice of butter. You could also use an oil of your choice as well.

Step 3 – Combine Wet Ingredients: Whisk in sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract.

Step 4 – Add Eggs: One at a time, ensuring a shiny finish after each addition.

Step 5 – Fold in Dry Ingredients: Including baking powder, salt, and gluten-free flour blend.

Step 6 – Stir in Chocolate: Add the chocolate chips to the batter.

Step 7 – Bake: Pour the batter into the preheated cast iron skillet and bake for 30-35 minutes.

Step 8 – Cool & Set: Allow the brownies to cool and set in the skillet for about an hour.
